Around twenty-five thousand households in Queensland's southeast found themselves lacking electricity on the start of the week after powerful weather events passed over the area, bringing wind gusts reaching 109 kilometers per hour.
Large Hailstones and Widespread Impact
Homeowners reported giant hailstones measuring up to 7cm in particular locations. The Bureau of Meteorology announced that multiple regions across Queensland had been hit with significant hail.
